Privacy Policy

• Account information. When you sign up we store your email, an optional display name, and a hashed (one-way) version of your password. We never see your password in plaintext.
• Pet profile content you create. Names, species, breed, weight, age, allergies, medications, and notes you choose to enter for your pets.
• Tool inputs. Photos, symptom descriptions, vet bill text, and anything else you submit to our tools (Photo Scan, Vet Bill Translator, Health Triage, Food Safety, etc.). We send this content to our AI provider (see “Third parties”) to generate a response.
• Saved resources. Vets, shelters, financial assistance programs, and educational pages you bookmark.
• Payment details. If you subscribe, payment is processed by Stripe. We receive only a customer ID and subscription status — never your card number.
• Usage and device data. Page views, the tools you use, request counts (for free-tier limits), IP address, browser type, and referrer.
• Cookies. A session cookie to keep you signed in, and an anonymous-usage cookie to enforce free-tier limits before signup.

• To run the tools you use and show you results.
• To save your pet profiles, saved resources, and account settings.
• To enforce free-tier usage limits and process subscriptions.
• To send transactional emails (account confirmation, contact-form replies).
• To measure how ads perform (see “Advertising”).
• To investigate abuse and keep the service running.

We do not sell your personal information.

• Anthropic processes the text and images you submit to our AI tools. Your input is sent to their API to generate a response. See Anthropic’s privacy policy.
• Stripe handles all payment processing. See Stripe’s privacy policy.
• Resend delivers the transactional emails we send to you.
• Vercel hosts the site and the database (via Neon Postgres).
• Meta (Facebook) receives anonymous browsing events via the Meta Pixel (see “Advertising”).

We use the Meta Pixel to measure how our ads perform. When you visit PawNav, the Pixel sends Meta a record of the page you viewed and certain actions (signing up, starting a checkout, subscribing). Meta may match this data to your Facebook or Instagram account if you have one. You can opt out of Meta’s ad personalization at facebook.com/adpreferences or by enabling “Limit Ad Tracking” / a tracking-prevention setting in your browser.

Account data and pet profiles are retained for as long as your account exists. Tool inputs (photos, vet bill text, symptoms) are processed in real time and not retained beyond the request unless you save the result to your account. Stripe retains payment records per its own policy. When you delete your account, all data linked to your account is removed from our database, except records we are legally required to keep (limited tax/transaction records).

• Edit or delete your data. You can edit pet profiles and saved resources, and delete your entire account, from your account settings.
• Cancel your subscription. Manage billing or cancel from your account.
• Email us. For requests we can’t fulfil from the account page, write to todd@baratrust.com.

PawNav is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has signed up, email us and we will delete the account.

We use industry-standard practices: TLS for all traffic, hashed passwords, and access controls on our database. No service can guarantee perfect security; please use a strong, unique password.

We may update this policy. The date at the top reflects the latest version. Material changes will be communicated by email to active subscribers.
